Cancellation
Policy
It is very important
that you be ready on time for your scheduled ride. If you are late
and miss your trip, arranging a trip for that same day could be
impossible. We ask that you notify CATS as soon as
you are aware of a possible cancellation.
Failure to keep your
scheduled appointment is considered a No Show and failure to
cancel a trip with at least one hour notice prior to scheduled pick
up is considered a Late cancellation. Either will result in
your being charged for the scheduled ride. Three incidents in a
month may result in a temporary suspension of service.
No Show
Policy
Drivers will wait 5 minutes before
considering the pick-up a “no show;” even if the driver arrives
prior to or after the scheduled pick-up time,
but within the 30 minute window.
Example: Pick-up time is 3:00 PM. Driver arrives at 2:50 PM.
If rider is not at pick-up site, the driver will leave at 2:55 PM.
The pick-up is a “no show.”
Telephone calls after
5:00pm are recorded by voice mail and will be
returned by the dispatch office the next working day.
Please speak
slowly so that the information can be received, and keep the message
very brief, leaving your name, telephone number and a brief reason
for your call.
If you have missed
your scheduled return ride after 4:30pm please call 410-857-0080 for immediate assistance.
30 Minute Window
Please be ready
and at your pick-up site 15 minutes
prior to your
scheduled pick-up time.
Carroll Area Transit
System’s Drivers may arrive 15 minutes
before or 15 minutes after scheduled pick-up time.
Example: Pick-up time is 3:00 PM,
pick-up may occur
between 2:45 PM and 3:15 PM
Riders must
be waiting in a highly visible entrance and be ready to travel.
Otherwise, the appointment will be recorded as a
"No-show". If you are unable to meet the vehicle on time,
please call the CATS office at 410-857-0080 to notify dispatcher to cancel your trip. Traffic may occasionally
cause delays, please allow the driver an extra 15 minutes before
calling to check on your ride.
